Welcome to Worlingham Community Hall
Worlingham, with a population of over 5,000, has long been one of the largest villages in the East of England without its own community hall. Recognising the need for a dedicated community space, local volunteers came together to establish a charitable organisation and work towards creating a facility that would serve residents for generations to come.
Thanks to funding from Suffolk County Council, East Suffolk Council, Worlingham Parish Council, local businesses and the wider community, together with a partnership with a local developer, the vision has become a reality.
The Hall has been designed as a welcoming, accessible and affordable venue for people of all ages. It will support a wide range of community activities including fitness classes, children's clubs, senior groups, meetings, conferences, theatre and cinema events, weddings, celebrations, wakes and many other social and community events.
Our aim is to create a vibrant community hub that brings people together, supports local organisations and enhances community life throughout Worlingham and the surrounding villages.

Worlingham Community Facility has been made possible through the dedication, commitment and perseverance of our Board of Trustees, who have spent the past 13 years working tirelessly to secure agreement, funding, planning, construction and ultimately the opening of this fantastic community facility.

WMC
We are a team of local volunteers who are passionate about making Worlingham Community Hall a thriving centre for our community.
Working alongside the Board of Trustees, our role is to manage the day-to-day operation of the Hall, ensuring it remains welcoming, safe, accessible and enjoyable for everyone who visits.
Our aim is simple: to make the Hall a place where people can meet, learn, celebrate, exercise, work and connect. Whether you're attending a class, hiring a room, joining a club or simply meeting friends, we want everyone to feel at home.
There has always been something special about the sense of community in Worlingham Village. It's a place where people support one another, friendships are formed and neighbours become friends. We want to preserve that spirit while extending a warm welcome to people from surrounding villages and beyond.
Together with the Board of Trustees, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive and vibrant community space that brings people together, encourages new opportunities and helps create lasting memories for generations to come.

How We're Run
The Hall is managed by a volunteer Board of Trustees & Management Committee, who are responsible for:

- Managing the Hall's finances
- Maintaining the building and facilities
- Supporting volunteers
- Planning for the Hall's future
- Ensuring the Hall continues to meet the needs of our community

As a registered charity, we rely on a combination of:
- Hall hire income
- Grants
- Donations
- Fundraising events
- Community support
Every pound raised is reinvested into maintaining and improving the Hall for the benefit of everyone.
